As we approach one of America’s most consequential presidential elections in our history, we wanted to create a forum for discussing, among other things, our judiciary in crisis, gerrymandering and inequities in our electoral system, the rise of antisemitism and Islamophobia, the danger of “alternative facts” in news coverage, and, above all, the 2024 presidential campaign.
We have created Democracy ’24 Town Halls — a live, 16-part, weekly series of one-on-one conversations among prominent national figures in politics, culture, journalism and justice.
The Democracy ’24 Town Halls are open to the entire alumni and student communities (and interested friends) who will have an opportunity to engage with each week’s guests during the Q&A session.
Future guests will include Walter Isaacson, historian and bestselling author of Steve Jobs and Elon Musk, Lawrence O’Donnell ’74 of MSNBC’s The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell, best-selling author Kurt Andersen ’76, Emily Bazelon, New York Times Magazine writer and Yale Law lecturer, and many others yet to be announced or scheduled over the coming 16 weeks.
Open to the entire community of alumni, students, and friends. Share this website with them:
